The following rules apply to all three pools and the entire area enclosed by the fence surrounding the pools. These rules will be strictly enforced. Violators will be asked to leave the pool area. Repeat Offenders and those violating certain rules indicated below will have their pool card deactivated and shall forfeit their pool privileges for a period of time determined by the Board of Directors.
The pools are for the exclusive use of TOWNGATE RESIDENTS and their guests. Anyone found vandalizing Association property will be prosecuted criminally and civilly at the discretion of the Board of Directors.
Pool cards must be activated each season. Pool cards are activated only for those residents whose homeowner dues and all other assessments charged against their property are paid in full and current at the time the card is activated. Cards are activated by the Property Manager at the Town Hall. Normal hours for the property manager is weekdays between 9 AM and 1 PM. Lost cards may be replaced and activated for a fee of $15.
One (1) pool card only shall be issued to each residence. A maximum of four (4) guests may use the pool per card. Residents must be present and accompanying their guests at all times. Guests are defined as non-residents. DO NOT open the gate for anyone unless a member of your party. Children under the age of 14 MUST be accompanied by a responsible adult or older person at least 16 year of age.
The pool area as well as much of the playground area is under video surveillance at all times. The video recordings can and will be used as proof of rule violation and/or criminal activity. The phone near the restroom connects directly and only to 911 and is for emergency use only.
These rules are designed to conform to City of Garland Ordinances and State of Texas health regulations. Their intent is to promote the safety and well-being of all Towngate residents and their guests while providing a pleasant environment for all.
Parents and Guardians: Please communicate these rules to your children. YOU will be held responsible should they fail to abide by these rules.
NO LIFEGUARD IS ON DUTY. It is imperative that the rules be enforced by all to keep the area safe for everyone.
DO NOT unlatch the rope in the large pool. THE ROPE MUST REMAIN FASTENED AT ALL TIMES PER THE CITY OF GARLAND. The City of Garland will shut down the pool if this rope is not attached appropriately.
The buoy is for life saving purposes only and the rope must remain attached at all times. Use the buoy only for life saving purposes.
NO CUTOFFS - Proper swim attire only. NO street clothes are permitted. All children in diapers or not potty-trained must use the 2 foot wading pool.
NO GLASS - Only plastic beverage containers are allowed in the pool area. Broken glass not only damages skin, it can damage the pool filters.
No horseplay, running, pushing or aggressive behavior is allowed.
Inflated swim accessories are limited to the 5 foot pool only.
No tossing or throwing of balls or other objects within the pool area except for light, inflatable items intended for use in swimming pools.
No diving from the side of any pool at any location is permitted in accordance with City of Garland regulations
NO PETS allowed in pool area.
NO skate boards, skates, bicycles allowed in the pool area.
NO profanity, offensive or crude language.
NO illegal activity. Garland Police will be notified and pool privileges will be suspended immediately and indefinitely.
The pools must be evacuated during rain and immediately at the first sign of threatening weather.
NO LOUD MUSIC
Clean up after yourself. All items left in pool area will be put in trash containers

IT IS ILLEGAL TO ENTER THIS POOL/SPA IF YOU CURRENTLY HAVE DIARRHEA OR HAVE HAD DIARRHEA IN THE PAST 2 WEEKS.
